TIME - Atlantic World Music


After 25 years of maturation, we are proud to announce the release of our second discographic work ”TIME”, 13 pieces that collect european, latinamerica and african cultural gathering. A journey through decades, costumes, distans and musical influences of this unifying Atlantic Ocean: Canarian, African, Afro-spanish-americain, capverdian and also Mexican, Cuban, Brazilian and finally grooving back home on a Anglo-Saxon and european stream.

About Vrandan


Through the years, Vrandan has created a fusion that brotherhood influences as European, American and African, creating a singular style, defining itself as “Atlantic world fusion music”. This band has born in the island of La Palma, Canaries, in the early nineties and it’s creative activity and resident creation work shop is taking place in a 17 Century old house called: “Finca La Principal”.
Trough “TIME”, the band is offering more than 50 minutes of unpublished music. Mainly composed by Jorge Guerra and colored by the collective experience, this record shows a happy elements conjunction: singular vocals accents, simple and effective harmonies and original ways to understand percusions.
On Live show they instill a radiant and contagious sonorous happiness. Maria Padròn’s voice rise as solist, while Jorge Guerra singing complete in a masterful way being as well the band vocal and guitar leader accompanied by Rodrigo Melgar at the voices, tres cubano and flutes, Domingo Castellano on bass, Jonny Acosta with is high colored electric guitar solo, the percussive groovy beat back ground of Jorge Hernandez on djembe and cajón peruano, Juan Carlos Alvarez at bongos and congas and Gustavo Nasco at the timbales and Afro-American tambora. On some occasions, also participate Pepetoni Tamarit at the drum set.
